A truly Magical book I have followed Little Belle, Irene and Robert and horses. The book is inspirational especially as Irene was battling with her own health, but still managed to open her heart to all these unique and precious differently abled furbabies and give them a forever home. I know the story behind this book and still wanted to read it. This book was written so well, Irene does a wonderful job thinking and talking like the dogs that you feel you are right there with them going through the trauma that they are. I have cried since the first page, have to stop and wipe my eyes to continue reading. Anyone that loves dogs or animals period need to read this book, but get a box of kleenex ready. I congratulate Irene on such a wonderful story and praise her for all she has done for many animals and dogs. They are so lucky to have her. Buy this book and read it, you will not be disappointed. I have followed Little Belle's Facebook for only 5 years now, but it seems like a lifetime. This book also seems like it was a lifetime in the making, and it really was-Belle's and Irene's. It is personal, poignant, heartbreaking and heart lifting all in the same time and your emotions will run the entire gamut. But if you ever considered purchasing a dog from a pet store or a breeder, or ever thought negatively about a blind or deaf dog or one who walks on 3 legs, or ever wondered if a dog is truly sentient, you will never wonder about that again and your thoughts on puppy mills, differently abled animals or how they think and feel will change forever. This book is truly capitaving from the 1st page, it was hard to stop reading. The writer Irene is so descriptive with her words. The true story comes alive and transports the reader. This book is fantastic. I couldn't put it down once I started and am now reading it again Sending you on an emotional rollercoaster. Shedding tears of joy and sadness, getting angry and frustrated the cruel people in the world and insenced with their selfish actions. Then rising to the greatest heights of happiness and hope. The way Irene has written this book envelops you in the journey of both Little Belle and her fur siblings and her human mum and dad Irene and Robert. You feel as if you are with them through all the ups and downs, the triumphs and the losses. Thank you Little Belle and Irene for sharing your journey and making me feel like family.
